Fall Update

Posted on October 16, 2014 at 11:15 AM

The Fall Season is here, and what a beautiful world God has given us!  The many different colors of leaves are so fascinating to me.  Only God could make such a magnificent creation.  Praise His Holy name!

We are SO happy to welcome back Arvin Wynn to our on-air staff.  For the past few months, he's been working behind the scenes while recovering from some health issues, and we have surely missed his voice on the air.  Praise the Lord for allowing Brother Arvin to return to the studio!  He still needs your prayers for continued healing, but we are so thankful for what God has done already.  Tune in to hear Brother Arvin each Monday - Friday from 6-9 AM for the "Wonderful World Of Gospel Music" and Saturdays from 9-10 AM for the "Bluegrass Gospel Jamboree".

Recently, Gospel music lost several of its great singers.  Charles Johnson of Charles Johnson and The Revivers died on October 6,2014, and within just a few days, three more Gospel singers have gone on to Heaven, as well.  These include Bob Johnson of The Gethsemane Quartet, Norman Wilson of The Primitive Quartet, and Roy Bray of The Southmen Quartet.  These great singers will certainly be missed.  Please, pray for comfort for their families as they grieve for their loved ones.

Thanks for visiting our website and reading our blog.  We hope you have enjoyed your visit, and we hope you come back often and share us with your friends and family.

Mark and I so love to listen to your station. You help our day start off with Mr Wynn and great southern gospel music. Then at the end of the work day, when we need a boosr, our spirit is lifted with more great songs of praise and worship. God gives you the songs we need to hear! Thank you all at WAJL. God Bless you. Prayers for continued funding. Love, Linda & Mark.
